BERNAM RIVER AIRFIELD

 

Bernam River Airfield(BRA) is the first private airpark in the country. BRA, which is 221 acres in size, was built to provide much needed infrastructure for the General Aviation (GA) industry in Malaysia. The recent increase in air traffic at the Subang Airport and the imminent closure of the Sungei Besi Air Base(WMKF) has accelerated the need for an alternative site for light aircrafts to operate. With the current facilities and unlimited potential for expansion, we are looking forward to working with the GA industry to bring GA to greater heights!

The Location

 

The property is located in Mukim Hulu Selangor adjacent to the Perak state border, between Behrang and Slim River. It is relatively near to the North-South Expressway, approximately 90km driving distance and 40 nautical miles (about 35mins flying time) from Subang airport.

 

Located with expressway driving conditions and a short flying distance from the populated Klang Valley catchment area of aviators, the site is an ideal base for the general aviation industry.

BRA has currently completed its 1^st phase of development. The facilities available now are :

 

1. A 2,200 feet Tarmac airstrip(to be extended to 5,500 feet eventually)
2. Hangar complex with office facilities
3. An open Hangar
4. A clubhouse with pool, satellite TV and internet facilities
5. A swimming pool
6. 5 chalets
7. A Barbeque area
